PhD in Musicology from the University of Oviedo, where she was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize. Her thesis on the development of glam in Spain, directed by Professor Celsa Alonso, was awarded a prize by the SGAE Foundation and has been published as a study by the Spanish Society of Musicology. During his pre-doctoral period, he also spent time at the University of Oslo to work with Stan Hawkins. He has participated in several conferences and published in journals such as Cuadernos de Música Iberoamericana and Anuario Musical. Her main lines of research are musicology applied to urban popular music, cultural studies and gender studies, with special emphasis on the analysis of the construction of masculinities. In her research she has worked with artists and bands such as Héroes del Silencio, Mecano or Tino Casal, and genres such as glam, indie, new wave or heavy metal. She has taught on the Master's Degree in Music Industry at UNIR, and belongs to the research groups GIMCEL and CUCRA. Since 2021 she has been Assistant Professor of Music at the University of La Laguna.
