María J. Miranda Suárez holds a PhD from the University of Santiago de Compostela, is a philosopher and multidisciplinary artist, and lectures in Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Oviedo, where she is also a member of the Social Studies of Science Research Group. Dr. Miranda work includes several journal articles, as well as collective collaborations, including the books "Filosofías Subterráneas and Comunicación Social de la Ciencia: Métodos y Materiales." Likewise, she collaborate with Rock&Blog, interviewing international bands and artists such as EPICA, UDO, Richie Kotzen and Burning Witches, among others. She is a heavy metal vocalist and is a member of the associations Mujeres en la Industria Musical (MIM) and Mujeres en las Artes Visuales (MAV), as well as the Sociedad Española de Estética y Teoría de las Artes.
