Welcome to ISMMS-Spain 2025!
The International Society for Metal Music Studies and Metal Music Studies Spain are organizing the 7th Biennial International Research Conference on Metal Studies, in Seville, 3-6 June, 2025.
The President of ISMMS, Dr. Bryan Bardine, and the President of MMS-Spain, Dr. Susana González-Martínez, extend a cordial invitation to researchers and members of the metal community from any country to attend and participate in the Biennial.
The celebration, for the first time in Spain, of an academic event of these characteristics constitutes, in the words of renowned specialists in musicology (i.e., Silvia Martínez, Rafael Liñán), a "historical milestone," which contributes to expanding the knowledge in the fields of study of popular music, cultural studies, and other related disciplines of the humanities and social sciences.
