Doctoral candidate at the UNAM, she holds a degree in Ethnomusicology and was awarded the Gabino Barreda medal for university merit by the UNAM. She also holds a Master's degree in Music at the UNAM. She took the course in Musicology "Protection and diffusion of the Ibero-American artistic heritage" Robert Stevenson Chair at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando in Madrid. She was a member of the research project Musicat of the Seminario Nacional de Música en la Nueva España y el México Independiente of the Instituto de Estéticas of the UNAM. She collaborated with the Center of Italian Opera Studies at the University of Chicago in the research for the volume Gioachino Rossini Music for Band. She worked for Apoyo al Desarrollo de Archivos y Bibliotecas de México on the catalogue of the Archivo Musical de la Catedral de México. She has presented papers at national and international conferences in Mexico, Spain, Portugal and Chile. He has published several articles in Mexico, Spain and Brazil. She is part of the coordination of the Seminar on Heavy Metal Studies at UNAM and the Diploma in Anthropology of Music: contexts, theoretical and methodological frameworks for the study of rock cultures and urban music. She is the coordinator of the Horror and Metal Congress and host of the radio program Amazonas de Hierro on Reactor 105 of the Mexican Radio Institute.
